This formulation features five types of hyaluronic acid to provide hydration to multiple layers of the skin’s surface. Hyaluronic acid is a natural humectant that binds to water. The types included are low-, medium-, and high-molecular-weight molecules, a hyaluronic acid crosspolymer, and hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid.

Additionally, the formula contains ceramides to help lock in moisture. Ceramides are naturally occurring lipids (fatty molecules) in the skin that support the skin barrier, keeping it protected and hydrated. The ceramides used here are known as sphingolipids.
